SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION:

MEN OF CHANGE EXHIBIT

If stories are the lifeblood of a people, then "Men of Change" is an examination of how the blood of African descendants has surged powerfully through American history, been spilt in the name of freedom, and become inextricable from the story of this land.

EXHIBITION SCRIPT:

PARADOX

The Smithsonian Institution asked us to create a narrative rich and strong enough to serve as the framework for an immersive, ambitious experience. The heroes of the past were meant to galvanize the pioneers of tomorrow. The overlooked or under-told stories of geniuses, revolutionaries, artists, and great thinkers were elevated so that their scope could be used to look past boundaries and envision greater possibilities. Most of all, our work on Men of Change—as embodied in the headline SEE THE MAN—was crafted to vividly map the journey of those who not only talked about change, but sacrificed everything to create it.
