World Basketball Festival + The Ballroom
Nike, Converse, and Brand Jordan's inaugural World Basketball Festival celebrated the creativity that surrounds the game and the inspiration, attitude, and athleticism that define it. On the hallowed ground of New York City courts, players and artists demonstrated how the rhythm of a game has become the soundtrack of a culture.
All Falls Down - A Novel
The manuscript for AFD told a story that was both fast-paced and slow burning. Here was a novel unlike anything on bookstore shelves. Now all it needed was creative that matched its groundbreaking spirit. By crafting an innovative brand story that included social media and even a soundtrack, we were able to introduce the novel to a generation of readers who desired something entirely new.
We saw it. We watched each point. We saw what looked to be a man doing what no man under seven feet had ever done. We watched the history of the game and the future of the game collide in the present. We saw Kobe Bryant create his masterpiece. Now we had to put that masterpiece on paper.
Moments make the man. Iconic moments make the legend. Jordan 23 was an exhibit that became an experience that became a reaffirmation. The story we helped to create lived inside an incredible space in Beijing, and occupied an even larger space in the hearts of everyone who visited it.
Remember when posters were your windows to another world? Remember when you were a kid, and your heroes soared over skylines or sat on thrones made of ice? Posters were classic forms of communication and expression. Nike Refresh brought them back. And Paradox crafted words worthy enough to put on your wall.
There’s nothing wrong with being a witness. There are moments that leave every one of us in awe. The incredible things in life; the mouth-dropping, heart-skipping stuff. Love. Pain. Sports. They have the capacity to make time stand still long enough for us to marvel. But what happens next? That was the question that began our story.
LT Look Book
For NFL great LaDainian Tomlinson, records are meant to be admired and destroyed. By mid-2008 the former San Diego running back had already surpassed cherished marks set by the likes of Jim Brown and Walter Payton. Now it was time to honor that.
House of Hoops
Every city has a basketball story. And every story is unique. So imagine a retail space dedicated to the hardwood dreams and concrete realities of the city where it exists. Each House of Hoops is singular, designed to give anyone who enters it an authentic look into the soul of a place, a time, and a court.
Nike Trainer Books
McEnroe. Bo. Pac-Man. Amar’e. And you. An entire world of athletes, both casual and serious, has experienced Nike’s cross-training. Now it was time to visit the past of that experience and welcome the new.
Two Teams. Two Journeys.
Basketball has left the confines of Chicago’s South Side and New York’s boroughs. It is no longer restricted to the borders of Detroit or Oakland. Basketball is global. It dominated the headlines surrounding the Olympic games in Beijing. And within that dominance was a quest by two teams: one looking to reclaim their glory, the other looking to re-imagine their future. We were asked to create a story that would capture this new era of the game.
USAB Commitment Gallery
In the summer of 2008 Team USA had one mission on the basketball court: reclaim the Gold during the Olympic Games in Beijing. Our mission? Communicate that commitment in an unforgettable experience.
AF1 - 25 Years of Force
For 25 years the Air Force 1 has reigned over the world of basketball sneakers. Yet, the AF1 is more than a shoe. It represents an incredible culture. We were asked to explore the AF1's past and tell its story. We spent almost two years doing it, working closely with Nike's internal creative teams. The result was a series of experiences and Brand creative that changed Nike Basketball forever.
1 Night Only
How do you celebrate a sneaker that has represented the culture of the game for 25 years? You invite an exclusive group of people to a secret party. You put them up in one of Midtown Manhattan's best hotels. You get Nas, Kanye, KRS-1, and Rakim to perform. You shut the city down. And you do this for one night, and 1 Night Only. Then you ask us to tell the world what happened.
