Nike, Converse, and Brand Jordan's inaugural World Basketball Festival celebrated the creativity that surrounds the game and the inspiration, attitude, and athleticism that define it. On the hallowed ground of New York City courts, players and artists demonstrated how the rhythm of a game has become the soundtrack of a culture.

The manuscript for AFD told a story that was both fast-paced and slow burning. Here was a novel unlike anything on bookstore shelves. Now all it needed was creative that matched its groundbreaking spirit. By crafting an innovative brand story that included social media and even a soundtrack, we were able to introduce the novel to a generation of readers who desired something entirely new.

We were asked to explore the AF1's past and tell its story. We spent almost two years doing it, working closely with Nike's internal creative teams. The result was a series of experiences and Brand creative that changed Nike Basketball forever.

How do you celebrate a sneaker that has represented the culture of the game for 25 years? You invite an exclusive group of people to a secret party. You put them up in one of Midtown Manhattan's best hotels. You get Nas, Kanye, KRS-1, and Rakim to perform. You shut the city down. And you do this for one night, and 1 Night Only. Then you ask us to tell the world what happened.
